Hand-crafted using the ancient art of hand applied vitreous enamel. This is a traditional and highly skilled technique of fusing glass to metal. This ancient craft is a time consuming process, with each colour being ground by hand; applied to metal and fired in a kiln up to 5 times.

The King’s Beasts are inspired by a series of statues by James Woodford.
Woodford had been inspired by a set of ten statues known as the King’s Beasts, which were located on the bridge over the moat leading to the great gatehouse at Hampton Court Palace, and remain there today. They represent the ancestry of King Henry VIII and his third wife Jane Seymour.

The statues stood guard outside Westminster Abbey at The Queen’s Coronation in 1953.
The heraldic creatures appearing in the lineage of the Queen’s ancestry, the ten chosen were judged best suited to illustrating her royal line of descent and legitimacy as heir.

Since 2001 Fiona Rae has held a Royal Warrant to HRH The Prince of Wales and was initially supported by The Prince’s Trust.

Each pair of cufflinks arrive in a Fiona Rae cufflink box with.
