Enamelled Sterling Silver Rue Large Pendants

Hand enamelled Rue leaf shadow pendant with vitreous enamel on sterling silver. The leaf shadow detail can be seen under the transparent enamel contrasting with a solid silver silhouette of the Rue design.

This pendant is available in nine colours: Green, Red, Kingfisher Blue, Ink Blue, Pale Blue, Mint, Orange, White or Pale Grey. 

Each pendant is handmade using the traditional art of vitreous enamelling. Thin layers of glass are fused at a high temperature on to the surface of the metal to create this unique piece.

Design features a herb called Rue which grows within Hatfield Estate and symbolises both protection and remembrance.

Rue is known as the "Herb of Grace" and known for its healing properties.
Much favoured by Elizabethans, it is still used today for medical uses.
